Man City in for 'tricky game' at Nottingham Forest as pundit outlines 'worry'

Nottingham Forest have been backed to give Premier League leaders Manchester City a rough ride at the City Ground on Saturday.

On paper, an away win looks a forgone conclusion after City dispatched Arsenal in their top-of-the-table tussle on Wednesday while Forest, who were beaten at Fulham last weekend, have seen their defensive options ravaged by injury.

However, Steve Cooper ’s side have pulled off some impressive results at the City Ground this season and sit 10th in the home league table, compared with 19th in the away standings.

Pundit Chris Sutton is sure City will not have everything their own way on the banks of the Trent and says the Reds could target stand-in left-back Bernardo Silva following Pep Guardiola’s surprise decision to let Joao Cancelo leave for Bayern Munich last month.

“This is a tricky game for Manchester City because Nottingham Forest have such a good record at the City Ground, where they have not been beaten in the league since September,” said Sutton in his Premier League predictions for the weekend.

“I still worry about City's left-back position and you can get at them defensively. Forest will have a real go at home.

“But we saw Pep Guardiola's side flex their muscles when they beat Arsenal to go top of the league on Wednesday. It was a reminder that they have players who can produce moments of brilliance.

“City's second-half display really was excellent and I don't even think they have really hit their stride yet, which is ominous for the rest of the Premier League - there is much more to come from them.”

Despite talking up Forest’s chances, Sutton still expects City to leave with a 2-0 victory.
