Man City 'hold talks with super agent' over £34m star and other transfer rumours

Manchester City have held talks with the agent of Celta Vigo star Gabri Veiga, according to reports.

The 21-year-old is reportedly also of interest to Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle United, with all four clubs 'willing' to fork out the €40m release clause for Veiga, according to 90min. The Spain U21 international is currently away at the European Championships, after impressing in La Liga for Celta.

Veiga scored 11 goals and assisted a further four in the league last season. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Marseille and Napoli are all mentioned in the report too, as potential next destinations for the player. It is suggested that City have discussed Veiga's future with his representative - Israeli football agent Pini Zahavi.

In other news, the same website are reporting that Luis Enrique will look to make Bernardo Silva his first signing - should his appointment as Paris Saint-Germain boss go through. It is claimed that the former Spain chief wants to make the City star his first signing in the French capital.

With Christophe Galtier set to be dismissed, Enrique is being strongly touted as his successor. During talks between the club and manager, PSG's 'long-standing' interest in Bernardo was reportedly discussed - with Enrique happy for the Ligue 1 side to launch a summer bid.

As things stand, his future at the Etihad Stadium - and whether he follows Ilkay Gundogan out the door - remains unclear. City's number 20 has been heavily linked with Barcelona and the Premier League side will let the player leave, should a suitable offer be put on the table.
