Manchester City have had a busy summer so far of incomings and outgoings.
Erling Haaland, Kalvin Phillips and Julian Alvarez have been their headline signings for a combined £110million. But the Blues have also sold well in the transfer market and have recouped £45million from Arsenal for Gabriel Jesus and could receive £55million from Chelsea for Raheem Sterling.
Nathan Ake's future is also uncertain, while City are keen on Brighton's Spanish defender Marc Cucurella. Mirror Sport has the latest City transfer news, including updates on Cucurella and Ake.
Brighton admit Man City target could be sold
Sussex Live quote Brighton chairman Tony Bloom admitting Manchester City-target Marc Cucurella could be sold.
Bloom claims Brighton have not received any offers for the highly-rated Cucurell and do not expect to lose him this summer, just a year after he joined them for £15million from Getafe. However, the Seagulls chief is realistic to know that it would be hard for them to stand in the way of the Spanish defender if City did come in for him.
Bloom said: "We've got to be realistic if a certain bid comes in and the player wants to move, the player will move, but we are not anticipating, we're not looking for our best players to move on. If it happens and we get a bid then we have to consider it, but until that point, we carry on."
Chelsea in advanced talks to re-sign Ake from City
The Metro carry a report that Chelsea are in advanced talks with Manchester City to re-sign Nathan Ake, five years after he quit Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea need to reinforce their defence following the Bosman departures of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen and have identified Ake. Ake, 27, has failed to nail down a regular starting place at City and would be open to moving if it meant more game time ahead of the World Cup.
Talks have taken place over personal terms and a fee and City could demand £50million for the Dutchman, having paid Bournemouth £41million for him in 2020.
Chelsea to open contract talks with City target James
Football.london carry a report claiming Chelsea are keen to hand Reece James a pay rise to ward off the attentions of City.
James, 24, is one of Chelsea's lowest earners among their first-team regulars and picks up a reported £56,000-a-week. Chelsea are keen to hand him new improved terms to keep him happy at Stamford Bridge and avoid his head being turned by City.
England international James has also attracted interest in the past from Real Madrid and they see him as a long-term target.
