Manchester City are set to welcome striker Erling Haaland back from injury for Saturday's teatime Premier League game against Southampton - something which could be good news for Nottingham Forest’s fight against relegation.
The Reds are 17th in the Premier League and only out of the bottom three on goal difference. They are next in action on Saturday themselves when they make the short journey to Birmingham to take on high-flying Aston Villa (3pm).
Steve Cooper ’s side will be seeking to halt a run of eight games without a win and climb away from the relegation zone. And while the main focus of Reds fans will be on what Forest do themselves, eyes could also be on other results around the league.

One team who could do Forest some massive favours over the next couple of weeks are Man City. And Pep Guardiola’s side have been given a boost ahead of their 5.30pm kick-off at St Mary's with reports claiming Haaland will return from injury.
The Saints are four points adrift of Forest in the table. And in between their Champions League quarter-final vs Bayern Munich, Guardiola's side host 18th placed Leicester City a week later (5.30pm kick off).
Haaland’s return comes after City were able to put four goals past Liverpool even without the Prmeier League's leading marksman this season.
The Norwegian has scored a total of 28 Premier League goals in 26 appearances, and 42 goals in 37 appearances in all competitions. His return to action will make facing City an even more daunting prospect for the club’s fighting relegation in the coming weeks
