Man City fans react to John Stones knock in England warm-up
Manchester City supporters have been airing their concerns after John Stones limped out of England's warm-up prior to kick-off against Switzerland in today's friendly. The centre-half was named in the starting XI but was replaced by Arsenal's Ben White with Manchester United captain Harry Maguire left on the bench.
Pep Guardiola will be hoping the knock is nothing serious ahead of a crucial run-in that sees the champions take on title challengers Liverpool, especially with Ruben Dias not yet back from a hamstring injury. Stones has started City's last three Premier League matches against Everton, Manchester United and Crystal Palace.

Reacting to the knock, one supporter said: "Great. Just when we thought we’re gonna get Dias x Stones again."

Gundogan confirms no renewal talks yet
Ilkay Gundogan has confirmed that no talks of a City contract extension or renewal have yet taken place. The German’s deal runs out in summer 2023 and he has reiterated his desire to stay on at the Eithad beyond then.
The 31-year-old has won three Premier League titles since his move from Borussia Dortmund in 2016 and could claim a fourth this season. He’s played an integral role in his club’s success over the past six years and intends to help City further, if possible.
"I'm very happy at Manchester City,” he said. "There are no concrete talks, but we have a good relationship.”
Academy product Mbete on winning silverware
City academy talent Luke Mbete has told Manchester Evening News of his desire to win the Premier League 2 by drawing on experience he has gained with the first team. The 18-year-old has featured three times for the club’s senior side, including as a late substitute against Sporting Lisbon in the second leg of their Champions League Last 16 contest.
Commenting on using what he has picked up during his first team integration with the academy side, he said: "Some of us in the team have got some experience and we just try to help each other as much as possible. That's what helps us to be a team on the field.
"There's been competitions where we've been knocked out so we're just looking towards the Premier League 2 but we're hoping to win it. We push each other every day in training, games, because we want the best out of each other."
