Kwaku Oduroh has set himself a first challenge after signing for Derby County on a free transfer.
The 19-year-old former Manchester City graduate was released by the Premier League champions this summer. It came after several seasons with the Academy squad and his crowning moment came in 2021 when captaining the U18s during their title-winning campaign.
Oduroh spent last term with the U23s and the Manchester-born defender has promptly found himself a new club. Derby will be gunning for an instant return to the Championship next season and the right-back wants to make his name for the Rams in their journey further down the EFL pyramid.

He was often called up by Pep Guardiola for first-team matches, but never made his senior debut for City and was among five players released when his contract expired last month. Oduroh has now put pen to paper on a two-year agreement following talks with manager Liam Rosenior.
There were other clubs in the market for his signature, but the Rams stood out to Oduroh.
Speaking to DCFC media channels, he said: "With my situation at the end of the season, there were a lot of clubs interested. Derby came up and I really liked the sound of the project.
"I wanted to be part of it. I bought into it. I came down for a few days.
"They were delighted, I was delighted and then we moved forward from there."
Oduroh added: "I want to play in the first-team as much as possible. I want to push my name out there so people know what I'm about. Obviously, I want to develop under the coach - and with these players - to feel comfortable around this environment."
