Man City forward Raheem Sterling agrees with Pep Guardiola over Liverpool title claim

Manchester City attacker Raheem Sterling agrees with Pep Guardiola's claim about the Premier League title race.

Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Tottenham saw them move to the top of the table on goal difference ahead of Newcastle United's visit to the Etihad. However, despite their Champions League defeat to Real Madrid hanging over them, City have a golden opportunity to go three points clear with as many games remaining.

Both the Blues and their Merseyside rivals are locked in another enthralling race to be crowned Champions of England, which could well boil down to the final day of the season. But Sterling isn't getting involved with the outside talk and has heaped importance on City maintaining their winning league form.

"Yeah (we have to win every game). It's as simple as that, you don't want to bank on if they drop points or anything," he told Sky Sports. "It's as simple as you've got four games left, win those four games we're champions, that's all we should be focusing on.

"At the end of the day, with these four games left it's in our hands if we win those games, it's ours. No matter if they play first or we play first, the important thing we win all our games."
