Man City final seven Premier League fixtures and how Arsenal can still win the title

Manchester City put themselves firmly in the driving seat for the Premier League title on Wednesday night. Pep Guardiola's side were dominant pretty much from start to finish against Mikel Arteta's Gunners and ran out comprehensive 4-1 winners at the Etihad Stadium.

City remain in second place in the table, but only two points behind Arsenal, crucially with two games in hand. And Guardiola's men can go top of the table on Sunday if they beat Fulham, with Arsenal not playing until a London derby with Chelsea next Tuesday night.

Arsenal face a final five fixtures and need to get out of a rut sharpish if they are to stand any chance of lifting the crown next month. Defeat to City followed three straight draws, meaning the league leaders have not won in four games - something no Premier League leader has done since Arsenal themselves in 2008.

READ MORE: Arsenal told why they were at disadvantage against Manchester City in title race clash

The Gunners really are in a bit of a funk, with fans now seemingly resigned to finishing second. But there is still hope, despite the relentless machine that now has the advantage in the title race.

City have seven games still to play, they're still in the Champions League, with a massive double header semi-final with Real Madrid on the horizon and an FA Cup final with rivals Manchester United.

Here we take a loook at Manchester City's remaining fixtures and see where they could slip up to give Arsenal the initiative once more...

April 30 - Fulham (A)

A tough away game after the title showdown with Arsenal.

May 3 - West Ham (H)

West Ham have returned to some sort of form of late, albeit losing to Liverpool this midweek.

May 6 - Leeds United (H)

Leeds are in dire straits and do not look like they will cause much of a threat.

May 9 - Real Madrid (A)

Champions League encounter adds to fixture congestion

May 14 - Everton (A)

Arsenal might have been hoping for a trickier assignment after a Champions League away trip...

May 17 - Real Madrid (H)

What will be riding on this game after the first leg?

May 21 - Chelsea (H)

Chelsea have not won under Frank Lampard yet in his second spell, will they offer up any resistence?

May 24 - Brighton (A)

Potentially the banana skin on the list. Brighton are a force to be reckoned with, although heads may have gone after FA Cup semi-final defeat as shown in a 3-1 reverse at Nottingham Forest.

May 28 - Brentford (A)

The Bees are strong at home and have beaten Manchester United and Liverpool there this season, as well as drawing with Tottenham and Chelsea. The last two look tough.
