Erling Haaland admitted he would trade all his goals for Manchester City fans to win three trophies this season after the Norwegian broke another Premier League record against West Ham.
City enjoyed a commanding 3-0 win over the Hammers to re-establish themselves as league leaders, following Arsenal's 3-1 win over Chelsea on Tuesday. Pep Guardiola's side found it hard to break down a resolute side in the first half but scored three times after the break.
Nathan Ake headed home Riyad Mahrez's free-kick shortly into the second half before Haaland latched onto Jack Grealish's through ball to dink wonderfully over Lukasz Fabianski. Phil Foden fired home a third via a deflection but all eyes were on the Norwegian at full-time.
RATINGS: Ake and Grealish great in win vs West Ham
Guardiola organised a guard of honour for the striker, whose 35th league goal for the season took him past Andy Cole and Alan Shearer as the Premier League's highest one-campaign goalscorer. However when asked if he would swap those goals for silverware, the answer was a blunt 'yes'.
City are strong favourites for the Premier League title and have an FA Cup final against Manchester United to look forward to. The Blues face Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals, with either Inter or AC Milan in the final.
It was a selfless admission from Haaland and one made without any hesitation, with City supporters showing their appreciation on social media afterwards.
