Man City fans split on the future of Raheem Sterling amid Chelsea interest

Manchester City fans are split on the future of Raheem Sterling amid interest from Chelsea.

Thomas Tuchel is thought to be a big admirer of the Englishman and a deal that sees Sterling move to Stamford Bridge could be completed sooner rather than later. Sterling has been a big part of Pep Guardiola's success during his time in Manchester.

Sterling has played 339 matches and scored 131 goals in City colours. Performances have sometimes been inconsistent from the forward, leaving some fans wondering whether now is the right time for him to go.

Here at MEN Sport, we asked our City readers for their thoughts on Sterling's future. Here is what some of them had to say:

Blueman: "If he is determined to go then for the right price he should go we are rebuilding and it may take a few games to get the players to blend but they will."

Platt Lane: "I think he should stay. He is only 27 so offer a two-year contract."

Portlock: "This is starting to look suspiciously like a fire sale because of Haaland's arrival. If we lose Raheem we are a player down. If we don't replace him it means we can't afford to."

LoveSkyBlue: "Sterling has a lot of good attributes, especially engaging speed and defence, but I have never seen a forward player who gets as nervous and clumsy within the 18-yard box as Sterling."

streetFoot: "It is the right time to say goodbye. City should not miss this chance to cash in."
