Manchester City fans have bemoaned the fact Erling Haaland never seems to be on the pitch when they're awarded a penalty, after watching Riyad Mahrez miss a spot-kick in the second half of their draw with Dortmund.
Haaland had been replaced by Bernardo Silva at half-time with the Blues having already sealed their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League. However, they endured a frustrating evening at the Westfalenstadion.
A draw would've been enough for both sides to go through with Pep Guardiola's side securing top spot. Mahrez had a golden opportunity to put City in front after he was brought down in the box by Emre Can.

It was a quiet night for Haaland as he returned to the home of his former club. He has been in blistering form this season and notched two at the weekend, including one from the penalty spot.
For Mahrez, it was the 10th penalty miss of his career and his second of the campaign after Kamil Grabara guessed the right way in City's clash with Copenhagen. The spot-kick disappointment compounded what has been a difficult start to the campaign for the Algerian.
City fans vented their frustration on social media, as they called for the pecking order to be changed in the event that Haaland isn't on the pitch.
