Manchester City fans have expressed their gratitude to Everton after they defeated table-toppers Arsenal.
City have been chasing Arsenal all season, with Mikel Arteta's side setting the pace in the title race. However, Saturday afternoon saw them suffer a rare slip-up as they lost just their second league match of the season to Everton.
It was a raucous Goodison Park as new manager Sean Dyche took charge of his first game and the Toffees looked like a completely different team to the one that looked limp under Frank Lampard. They dominated large portions of the game with some relentless pressing and could have gone ahead well before they eventually did.

It was fittingly one of Dyche's best Burnley servants who got the goal as James Tarkowski powered home a header on the hour mark for the game's only goal as Everton resisted late pressure from the Gunners to win. The loss has handed City a huge opportunity.
Arsenal still hold a five-point advantage over City but the Blues can reduce that gap to two points should they defeat Spurs on Sunday afternoon. If they do that, the title will then be in City's hands as the two sides still have to play each other twice with the first meeting coming on February 15.
City fans are obviously delighted with the result but want the club to capitalise on the chance in North London.
