Manchester City fans have been going crazy after U18s star Carlos Borges netted a hat-trick in the 5-1 hammering of Manchester United in the mini-derby.
The Portuguese youngster broke the hearts of their city rivals on the eve of the senior Manchester derby where the Blues host Ralf Rangnick's side at the Etihad. Manni Norkett opened the scoring inside 10 minutes for United but their lead was short-lived as Nico O'Reilly restored parity just four minutes later, before Borges got his scoring under way shortly after the half-hour mark adding his second on the stroke of half-time.
Kian Breckin got in on the act before the 17-year-old completed his hat-trick and the scoring five minutes later. The hosts finished a man light after Sonny Aljofree was shown a second yellow card.

However, United fans were not too bogged down by the result insistent on focusing on the bigger picture after the changes were made with the FA Youth Cup in mind.
