Man City fans face more travel disruption and cup final clash as West Ham fixture changed

Manchester City's Premier League fixture at West Ham has been brought forward in a change to the TV broadcast schedule on that day.

Originally scheduled to kick off at 4.30pm on Sunday May 15, City's trip to the London Stadium will now take place on the same day but at 2pm. The change appears to be in order to accommodate Everton's important relegation clash vs Brentford, which will now be shown live on Sky Sports at 4.30pm. City's fixture remains live on Sky.

The fixture is City's penultimate one of the season, and follows the re-arranged trip to Wolves on Wednesday May 11 at 8.15pm. While the kick-off change at West Ham may not prove too disruptive, some travelling fans may have to alter their journeys down to London on the day, with many already likely to have booked tickets and made plans.

The change also throws up a disappointing clash with City's appearance in the Women's FA Cup final at Wembley on the same day. That clash vs Chelsea kicks off at 2.30pm, meaning there is a direct overlap with the two teams on a day where the men can take another huge step towards the Premier League title, and the women can secure their second trophy of the season.

As Liverpool are in the Men's FA Cup final the previous day, they play their penultimate Premier League fixture on May 17, away to Southampton, looking to respond to whatever City do at West Ham. That will then set up the final day, with both sides at home - City host Steven Gerrard's Aston Villa, while Liverpool face Wolves.
