Man City fans all saying same thing about Gavin Bazunu as Liverpool run riot in FA Cup

Manchester City fans were calling for Gavin Bazunu to be installed as Ederson's deputy after a shocker from City's No 2 keeper Zack Steffen against Liverpool in the FA Cup semi-final.

Jurgen Klopp's side went to the Wembley dressing rooms leading 3-0 at half-time, with Ibrahima Konate scoring and Sadio Mane netting a brace in the first half.

Mane notched his first goal of the day and Liverpool's second in bizarre circumstances, as American keeper Steffen delayed on the ball and was closed down by Mane, who turned it into the empty net.

A Mane volley on the stroke of half-time gave Liverpool a commanding lead against Pep Guardiola's men.

Meanwhile, Ireland's first-choice netminder Gavin Bazunu has been impressing during his loan stint at Portsmouth - and a number of City fans took to social media to call for the 20-year-old to be moved above Steffen in the pecking order at the Etihad.

One tweeted: "Bring back bazunu next season and ship steffen off to mls. embarrassing."

Another called for Bazunu to be recalled, tweeting: "Call Bazunu back RIGHT NOW!!"

Another City supporter agreed, saying: "Okay, sell Zack. get Bazunu back to where he belongs."

While another said: "Bazunu is levels above Steffen lol. He could genuinely be the city number 2 next season but surely he’s too good and too young to want to be sat on their bench."

And that sentiment was echoed all over social media this afternoon, with another Twitter user saying: "Bazunu surely in with a shout for cup keeper next season."
