Manchester City have reportedly joined the race for RB Leipzig star Christopher Nkunku this summer.
The France international is attracting the attention of some of Europe’s biggest sides ahead of the upcoming transfer window. Liverpool, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United have all been linked to Nkunku already.
Now, according to ESPN, City have thrown their hat in the ring. Although Leipzig are said to be in contract talks with the 24-year-old, the German side are said to be willing to listen to offers in excess of €75million.

The report claims Nkunku is hopeful he will be allowed to depart the club in the summer, even if bids come in below what Leipzig are expecting. That could well suit City, who look likely to set aside a large chunk of their budget for Erling Haaland.
Nkunku’s current deal at Leipzig is set to expire in 2024, with the Bundesliga side hopeful their star will agree to extend his stay for another year. With plenty of big names reportedly lining up for his services though, their resolve could be greatly tested this summer.
Elsewhere, City are reportedly set to beat Barcelona and Arsenal to the signing of Ghanian wonderkid Henry Oware. The City Football Group are expected to pay around £840,000 to secure his services from the West Africa Football Academy.
Barca, Arsenal, Salzburg and Lille were all thought to have been in the running for the 18-year-old, although City now look to have won the race. According to the Daily Mail, Oware is now just waiting on international clearance before completing his move.
The teenager looks set to be loaned out to City’s sister club Troyes in Ligue 1 due to Oware not being eligible to play in England currently. According to the report, the plan is for the defender to be unveiled by the French club during the summer transfer window.
