Manchester City are ‘confident’ they will secure a fresh loan move for winger Morgan Rogers today amid speculation linking the forward with Nottingham Forest.
Following an impressive loan spell with League One Lincoln City last season, Rogers joined up with Bournemouth on a season-long deal in the summer.
However, following a shortage of game time with the Championship high-flyers, Man City are recalling Rogers and intend him to send him to another second tier club in a bid to secure him regular match action.
Forest were linked with Rogers back in the summer, with speculation of a switch to the City Ground re-emerging last week.
Blackpool and Huddersfield Town are known to be interested in the 19-year-old, who Man City paid West Brom £4million for three years ago.
If he goes to Blackpool, it could be as a replacement for wide man Josh Bowler, who is wanted by Forest, Fulham and Bournemouth.
Mike Minay, who covers Man City for BBC Radio Manchester, tweeted this morning: “City confident of securing Morgan Rogers another Championship loan today. More game time needed after being on loan at Bournemouth for first half of season.”
