Man City ace Jack Grealish's heartwarming chat with his biggest fan after keeping promise

Manchester City and England star Jack Grealish decided to video call his biggest fan this week after keeping a promise he made before the World Cup.

The story of Grealish's friendship with 11-year-old City fan Finlay Fisher has gone viral in recent weeks, and on Monday it made headlines again when Grealish dedicated a goal celebration to the youngster after scoring in England's 6-2 win against Iran at the World Cup.

It all began last month when Finlay - who has cerebral palsy like Grealish's younger sister - wrote a letter to his hero. "I wish there were more people in the world just like you who treat people with disabilities the same as anyone else," Finlay wrote.

"It makes me really happy when I see that you, a famous footballer, knows what it’s like to live with people with cerebral palsy. You’re my hero and the best big brother to your sister. My dream is to meet you and give you a high five. Imagine meeting your idol!"

Grealish sent him a signed City shirt, and soon after made Finlay's dream come true by meeting the youngster at one of City's disability football sessions. That was when Finlay asked Grealish to do 'the worm' celebration the next time he scored, but after some negotiation, they settled on the dance that the 27-year-old performed in Qatar.

Speaking after the game, Grealish said: "That's what it's all about. For me it's just doing a celebration, but that'll mean the world to him, I'm sure."

On Tuesday, a day after the game, Grealish video called Finlay to discuss the celebration and how things are going for him and England in Qatar.

When Finlay said he thought Grealish had forgotten to do the celebration, Grealish replied: "I nearly scored last week against Chelsea, and I thought, 'I'm gonna do it for him tonight'. I just felt like I was going to score but I didn't score.

"I didn't think I was going to score yesterday because the game was a bit gone by the time I came on. I was buzzing to get a goal and then I could do my little celebration just for you. You were always in the back of my mind, mate."
