A man has been charged with the domestic violence murder of a 16-month-old boy at a property at Burpengary, north of Brisbane.
The boy was rushed to Caboolture Hospital on December 30 last year but died from his injuries last month.
Detectives from the Petrie child protection unit arrested a 33-year-old man this afternoon and charged him with one count of domestic violence murder.
The ABC understands the man is the boy's stepfather.
The man will appear in the Brisbane Magistrate's Court this morning.
