Man charged with alleged murder of elderly man at Reynella East, while police investigate unexplained death at Keswick Rail Terminal

A man has been charged with the alleged murder of another man in Adelaide's south on Christmas Day.

Emergency services were called to a unit in a retirement village on Braes Close, at Reynella East, after reports that a man had been stabbed about 9:40pm.

Upon arrival, police found the body of a 71-year-old man.

Major crime investigators and forensic officers attended the home before arresting a 45-year-old man, of no fixed address, and charging him with murder.

He will appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Both men were known to each other.

Body found at rail terminal

Police are also investigating an unexplained death in Adelaide's inner south-west.

The body of a 35-year-old man was found at the Keswick Rail Terminal near Richmond Road just after 6:30pm on Sunday.

Major Crime and Western District detectives are investigating the death and have asked anyone who noticed suspicious activity in the area to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Teen arrested over stabbing

Meanwhile a girl, 16, has been arrested after an assault in Adelaide's northern suburbs.

Officers responded to a home on Petherton Road at Andrews Farm just after 2:50am on Monday and found a 55-year-old man with stab wounds.

The man was rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police said the girl was arrested and charged with attempted murder.

She has been refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on Wednesday.
