A MAN will front court today after allegedly crashing into a parked police vehicle at Port Stephens then handing himself in.

A 21-year-old man went into the Raymond Terrace Police Station and reported the alleged incident at about 8.45am on Thursday, October 31.

Police responded to reports a vehicle had hit a parked police car outside the station.

The man was arrested and charged with two counts of driving recklessly or furiously or in a speed or manner dangerous, and destroying or damaging property.

No injuries were reported.

Police will allege in court today that the man was involved in a separate driving incident just 15 minutes earlier, at about 8.30am, on Nelson Bay Road at Fern Bay.

The 21-year-old man spent the night in police custody after being refused bail, and was ordered to front Raymond Terrace Local Court on Friday, which is right next door to the scene of the alleged crime.
