Queensland police charged a man with the attempted murder of three police officers at Caboolture, north of Brisbane after the man allegedly rammed police with his ute.

The officers were responding to reports of a stabbing on Moon Street at Caboolture South on March 12 when the man allegedly drove a ute at high speed into their police van.

The 28-year-old man was charged with three counts of attempted murder, two counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and one count each of unlawful wounding and driving whilst disqualified.

Police said the bonnet and driver's side of the van were completely ripped off in the collision.

The 37-year-old officer who was driving the police van has received ongoing medical treatment for serious injuries he suffered in the crash.

At the time, he was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

His passengers — a 24-year-old male constable and a 23-year-old female constable who had recently graduated — have returned to duty.

Police said the man driving the ute was a suspect in the stabbing at the Caboolture South address and was taken to hospital in a serious condition.

The person alleged to have been stabbed was also hospitalised in a critical condition.

The matter is due to be heard via videolink on Tuesday.
