A man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident at a pub in east London, the Met Police has said.

Phillip Kemps, 29, of Redbridge, was charged on July 26 and will appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on January 9, 2023.

The charge relates to a stabbing on July 23 at a pub on Hornchurch High Street. Following the incident, a 23-year-old man was taken to hospital where his injuries were deemed as non-life threatening.

A statement from the Met added: “We are aware that a video of the incident has been shared on social media.

“Following this charge, we would remind the public that nothing should be shared, posted or otherwise published that could risk prejudicing future court proceedings.

“This includes any further sharing of video or images relating to the incident.”
