A man has been charged with murdering a 30-year-old woman he knew in a southern Sydney home.
Emergency services were called to a Bexley property just before 6pm on Wednesday, following reports a woman was unresponsive.
Paramedics attempted to save Amira Moughnieh but she died at the scene.
Police arrested 39-year-old Ahmad Hodroj at the same property and took him to Kogarah Police Station, where he was charged with her murder.
Police will allege the pair were known to each other.
Hodroj did not apply for bail during a brief hearing at Sutherland Local Court on Thursday.
The case will be heard next at Sydney's Downing Centre on August 31.
