A man has been charged with murder over the fatal shooting of an alleged bikie enforcer at a workshop in Perth's north.

Joseph Versace, 34, was gunned down at the Gnangara workshop on Thursday afternoon.

Homicide detectives on Tuesday charged Joshua Colin Duperouzel, 25, with murder. He was due to face Perth Magistrates Court after being refused police bail.

Duperouzel was taken into custody on Monday after police issued a public call for information about his whereabouts.

He is yet to enter a plea.

Detectives have confirmed Mr Versace was known to police. He was believed to have been involved with outlaw motorcycle gangs.

A series of raids were carried out over the weekend by the WA Police gang crime squad.
