A man charged over the alleged murder of Louise Hughes, who was found dead at a house in Adelaide's south-west, has faced court as her family paid tribute.
Ms Hughes, 51, died at a house on Condada Avenue, Park Holme on Tuesday, despite efforts to resuscitate her by emergency services.
Lee Paul Streng, 33, did not make a bail application at the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
Prosecutors asked the magistrate for a seven-month delay because a provisional post-mortem report would take six months.
Police said the accused man, who was living at the house, and the alleged victim were "acquaintances" but not in a relationship.
Family mourn
The family of Louise Hughes mourned their loss and paid tribute to her on social media.
"We couldn't be more grateful for everything you did for us," son-in-law Ryan Rogers wrote.
"Still can't believe you're gone, you will be loved and missed forever."
Friends expressed their disbelief and heartbreak at her sudden passing.
Neighbours described Ms Hughes as lovely, and said she has a husband and two daughters.
Acting Police Commissioner Linda Williams told ABC Radio Adelaide it was not clear yet why Ms Hughes was at the accused's home.
"That is unclear to me yet, but that's part of the investigation that's ongoing to understand the nature of the relationship.
"I understand they are not related and they were known to each other, but only very recently known to each other," she said.
Lee Streng will be back before the court in April.
