A MAN has been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder of a female police officer in Clydebank.
The arrest comes after officers attempted to stop a vehicle on Bannerman Place at around 9pm on Sunday January 5.
A female officer was struck by the vehicle as it was driven away.
She was taken to hospital for treatment and later released.
Police Scotland said a 27-year-old man was traced, arrested and charged on Friday February 7.
He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday.
