A man has been charged in connection with an alleged attempted murder in Paisley.
Police launched a probe after a 24-year-old man was found with serious injuries on Stock Street in the town at around 9pm on Saturday, July 30. Ambulance crews attended before he was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment.
We told how officers were treating the incident as attempted murder as they launched a manhunt. Cops have now confirmed a 28-year-old man has been arrested.
He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Wednesday, August 3.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Police have arrested and charged a 28-year-old man in connection with an attempted murder in Paisley. A 24-year-old man was found with serious injuries in Stock Street, Paisley around 9pm on Saturday, July 30.
"He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow by ambulance for treatment. The man is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Wednesday, August 3."
