A MAN has been arrested and charged after a “threatening communication” was made to an airport in Orkney.
Flights were disrupted at Kirkwall Airport, Orkney, on Saturday from around 10.50am following the incident.
Police were made aware of the “threatening communication” and flights were delayed until around 2.45pm while enquiries were carried out.
A 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the communication.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland added there was no threat to the wider public.
The 20-year-old is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday, January 6.
