A man has been charged after Prince Andrew was allegedly heckled during the Queen's coffin procession in Edinburgh.
Police Scotland confirmed an unnamed 22-year-old had been charged with breach of the peace. It comes after dramatic footage emerged of a protester being pulled to the ground on the Royal Mile amid claims he shouted an obscenity at the Duke of York.
The Queen's cortege was passing through the historic street in the capital at the time of the alleged incident, with other members of the Royal Family following close behind.
The man will appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court in due course.
No other arrests have been made in relation. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 22-year old man was arrested and charged in connection with a breach of the peace on the Royal Mile around 2.50pm on Monday.
”He was released on an undertaking to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court at a later date and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.“
