A disgruntled customer blocked a McDonald's drive-through for two-hours after objecting to being asked to park in a bay while his double sausage and egg McMuffins was being cooked.
Stuart Yates, 55, vowed to stay put for a week if necessary but moved on after two hours when the police were called.
The stalemate began at around 9.30am on Sunday shortly after Stuart drove up to the restaurant and ordered the two Mcmuffins for his son and his friend.
He raged after being asked to wait 15 minutes for food on a previous visit and demanded a refund on the credit card he used to pay for the breakfast buns.
But when staff offered him a cash refund, he threatened to "hold up" the restaurant for "a week".
An angry Stuart fumed: “I said I’m not moving, I’m well within my rights asking for a refund to be put back onto my card.
“They eventually gave me a refund and tried passing me a long letter they had typed out, but I refused to accept it.
"I hadn’t sworn, I hadn’t done anything threatening. I hadn’t broken any laws.”
Fellow customers had to reverse out of the drive-through lane after it was forced to close while he protested, at the outlet in Churchill Way, Leyland, Lancashire.
Stuart claims he was offered a cash refund but when he requested the money on his credit card, a worker threw the cash on to his car roof and told him to leave.
While the stand-off was still going on, he added: “A week ago I got made to wait in the car park for over 15 minutes.
"A lad spotted me and said ‘oh, it’s him again’, because last time I complained. They said go and wait in the car park… I said ‘I’m not going anywhere until I get my food’.
“A girl came out and threw my money and change onto my car roof and said ‘leave or I’m calling the police’.
“I said I’m going nowhere until I’ve had my money put back on my card. It’s not a big ask, surely.”
A staff member said: “We asked him to park up and he wouldn’t, so now he’s just sat there.
“He only wanted a small order. It would have only taken a minute."
Stuart finally left without the McMuffins after two hours following a visit from the police and ordered two Big Macs via Uber Eats when he got home.
Afterwards he explained that he was eventually given a refund and that they tried passing him a long letter they had typed out but he refused to accept it.
He said he did not receive his McMuffins, but ordered two Big Macs via Uber Eats when he got home instead.
