A man has been arrested on suspicion of terrorism offences after he flew into the UK from Kosovo. The 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of collecting information likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism, the Metropolitan Police said.
The man was initially stopped by officers on Wednesday after he arrived into the UK at Luton on a flight from Kosovo. He was subsequently arrested and taken to a local Bedfordshire police station.
He has since been released on bail to a date in early July. Police said the arrest is Islamist-related.
As part of the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command’s investigation, officers carried out a search at a residential address in the Watford area. The force said searches are complete and enquiries continue.
