A man earned more than £6,000 after following advice issued by the team behind Martin Lewis' Money Saving Expert website. At a time where for many, every penny counts, thanks to the cost of living crisis and rising inflation, Martin Lewis and his group of money savvy experts have done it again by dishing out tips and tricks to help Brits save as much cash as possible.
MSE was founded by Martin Lewis back in 2003 and the website has been a gold mine for millions ever since - regularly posting tips, deals, hacks and ways to check if you're owed money. In recent days, one piece of wisdom on the financial guru's website Money Saving Expert (MSE) helped one man become £6,600 richer.
On the site, it has been revealed that more than eight million of homeowners in Britain could be entitled to thousands of pounds annually in benefits as part of the government's cost of living support package, but many aren't claiming it. A way MSE says people can find out if they could be missing out on the cash is by using a special calculator, reports The Mirror.

Built for MSE by benefits specialists EntitledTo, the calculator can help people to find out whether they qualify for certain support or payments from the government. It is also said to only take 10 minutes to use.
In the latest MSE newsletter, a man called Joel shared how he was able to claim £550 a month - or £6,600 a year - thanks to the online tool. Explaining how he did it, Joel said: "In your weekly email, you encouraged people to check if they're eligible for Universal Credit.
"I didn't think I'd qualify, but thought I'd check - turns out I was eligible for £550 a month! Thanks so much for the advice, I'd never have checked otherwise." To check if you are entitled to extra financial support, try MSE's calculator here.
On the MSE website, a statement about the calculator reads: "It's a common misconception that benefits are only available if you're out of work – but even some families with an income of £50,000 or more can qualify for help. With the cost of living rising, it's more important than ever to know what you're entitled to. Make sure you're not missing out – our 10-minute calculator will show you what you might qualify for and how much you could get."
