Man attacked by group of eight men in Greenwich

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted by eight men in a “violent unprovoked attack” outside a block of flats in Greenwich.

Officers were called to Ordnance Road, SE18, shortly before 2am on Friday, January 21 to reports a man had been attacked by eight men and robbed of his car keys.

The assault is believed to have happened in the communal area of Wordsworth House, near Woolwich Common.

The victim suffered cuts to his hands and face, which required hospital treatment.

Detective Constable Ewa Bugajska-Davies, investigating, said: “This was a violent unprovoked attack and we need the public’s help in identifying the suspects.

“We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident take place that night.”
