A man was attacked and bundled into the back of a car on a residential road in Croydon, police said.
The victim was assaulted at 12.25am on Friday morning on Epsom Road.
He was then thrown into the back of a car and driven away.
Police were called to the scene and managed to locate the victim, a man in his 30s.
He has been taken to hospital for treatment, with his condition described as non life-threatening.
Enquiries to trace those involved in the assault are ongoing.
