A 50-year-old man has been arrested and a woman charged with firearm offences after an incident in Adelaide's western suburbs this morning.
Police were called to a home in West Lakes about 7:45am, after witnesses reported seeing a man holding a firearm on a residential street.
STAR Group officers were called in, before the home was cordoned off from the public.
The officers entered the home and arrested the man without incident.
A firearm was located and seized by police.
Police have charged a 50-year-old woman with possessing a firearm without a licence.
The man was taken to hospital but there were no reported injuries.
He is expected to be charged at a later date.
'Pretty surprised'
A neighbour said there was lots of police activity in the area on Wednesday morning.
"There was 12-15 police, all the action was on here," he said.
"They said there was an incident but I can't go down that street.
Upon hearing of the incident, other neighbours said they were shocked.
"Pretty surprised.. I'm very anti-firearms that's for sure.
"I live 100 metres away and didn't hear gun shots or yelling."
Police have urged any witnesses to come forward.
