A man has been arrested after police found £2,500 in cash inside a "top daddy" mug.
This morning Operation Pelican Officers made enquires at an address in Bootle after a suspected stolen off-road electric bike was recovered. During their search, a large quantity of cannabis was discovered along with £2,500 and a Ford Key programming device.
A 30-year-old man was arrested at the scene for Theft of Motor Vehicle, Drug Supply Offences, and Money Laundering. He has been taken into police custody and will be questioned by detectives.

Operation Pelican is an ongoing police campaign and was launched in 2017 to combat the drug trade and gang violence in Bootle, Netherton, Litherland, and the surrounding areas. It has had several notable successes due to its specific targeting and pursuit of intelligence gathering in the region.
A post on Sefton police Facebook page said: "Operation Pelican Officers have this morning arrested a 30-year-old male from the Bootle area for Theft of Motor Vehicle, Drug Supply Offences, and Money Laundering
"Officers this morning made enquires at an address in Bootle after a suspected stolen off-road electric bike was recovered. During their enquires a 30-year-old male was arrested and a search of the premises recovered a large quantity of cannabis, over £2,500, and a Ford Key programming device.
"The male was taken to police custody and will be questioned by detectives. Operation Pelican will continue to disrupt serious and organised crime and take illicit drugs and criminal commodity from the streets."
