A man has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of Eddie Hutch Senior in 2016.
Gardai confirmed this evening that a man in his 40s is being held in a north Dublin station tonight in connection with the Poplar Row incident. Mr Hutch, an innocent cab driver in his 50s, was the brother of Gerry "The Monk" Hutch and was gunned down on February 8 2016 outside his home.
A post mortem later confirmed that the father of five died from gunshot wounds to the head. An investigation into the shooting has been ongoing since.
A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí have arrested a man in his 40s in connection with a fatal shooting which occurred on Poplar Row in Dublin 3 on 8th, February 2016. The man is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda Station in North Dublin."
