A 21-year-old man has been arrested in China for pretending to be a policeman to stop his father hiring prostitutes.
The man - who has only been identified by his surname Guo - said he had dressed as a police officer on New Year’s Day when he realised his father was planning to hire a prostitute after he called him asking for money, according to China News Service.
Guo, from Changzhou in the southern province of Jiangsu, said this was the third time he used the outfit to scare off sex workers in an attempt to stop his father wasting more money on them.
The South China Morning Post reported that witnesses said he used a Taser he had bought online to frighten a passing dog which lead to the real police being called.
The outfit also included a plastic pistol, padded vest, toy handcuffs, a fake electric baton and a counterfeit badge.
The young man is reported to have said he had always wanted to be a police officer after working as a security guard for several years , the People’s Daily Online reported.
