An Adelaide man has been arrested for allegedly taking pictures up the skirts of teenage girls using a camera that was attached to his shoe.

Police said they arrested the man for alleged "upskirting" at Brighton Jetty and were trying to identify any other potential victims or witnesses.

About 2:15pm on Sunday, February 6, police responded to reports of a man allegedly taking photos up the skirts of teenage girls.

A 60-year-old man from the southern suburbs was arrested and charged with indecent filming.

Police will allege the man approached several unsuspecting females on the jetty.

They said a camera was found in his possession and was seized.

He was bailed to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on March 10.

Investigations are continuing and police are keen to speak with anyone who saw the man in the area or who has any information.

He is described as being about 170cm tall, with an average build and short dark cropped hair.

He was wearing a dark baseball cap, black sunglasses, white T-shirt, dark shorts and grey sandals.

Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
