POLICE Scotland have arrested a 19-year-old-man after a malicious email sent to schools in Nairn, Auldearn, Forres and Inverness sparked a police presence.
Local media reports that Anderson’s Primary School, Applegrove Primary School and Forres Academy were among the targets of a firearms threat issued by email.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8.20am on Friday, 28 February, 2025, officers were made aware of a malicious email sent to a number of schools in the Nairn, Auldearn, Forres and Inverness area.
"A 19-year-old man has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing”
