A man has been arrested following a spate of disruptions at Dublin Airport due to drone activity.
In the last week, there were three that saw inbound flights diverted and outbound flights delayed at the airport. However, gardai said the arrest was made by gardai investigating an incident of drone activity on January 24.
It is unclear if the drone activity on different days are connected. A garda spokesman said: "Gardai investigating an incident of drone activity at Dublin Airport that occurred on Tuesday 24th January 2023 have arrested a man contrary to the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act, 1997.

"The man is currently being detained at Dublin Airport Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 and investigations are ongoing."
It is illegal to fly a drone within 5km of Dublin Airport. If a drone collides with the engine of a plane, it is likely that the engine will explode and the plane could crash.
The maximum sentence for flying a drone near an airport is seven years. Previously, the daa called on the Department of Justice to take over the responsibility for "taking down" disruptive drones.
