A MAN has been arrested following damage caused by protesters who targeted Donald Trump’s Scottish golf course.
Police said a 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection with damage caused to a golf course and premises on Maidens Road, Turnberry, on Saturday, March 8.
Members from Palestine Action claimed to have entered the Trump Turnberry site on Saturday morning, digging up the greens and spray painting the words “Gaza is not for sale” across the lawn of the South Ayrshire course.
Activists said they targeted Trump’s golf course over the US administration’s plan “to ethnically cleanse Gaza”.
Police added enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
The golf resort is operated by The Trump Organisation, which the US President owns.
Trump announced his plans for the US to take control of Gaza and turn it into “the Riviera of the Middle East”.
The US president posted an AI video on social media of his vision for a "Riviera" which included images of him and Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu lounging by a hotel pool.
