A man was arrested after a three hour standoff on the roof of a police station.
Emergency services were called to St Anne Street station shortly after 7pm on Thursday to reports of a man on the roof. Officers began speaking with the man but he refused to come down.
Fire crews and specialist paramedics were stationed at the scene to help bring the man down. A number of road closures were also put in place with people asked to avoid the area.

According to Merseyside Police the man agreed to come down from the roof at 10pm. He was checked by paramedics at the scene before being arrested.
The force said that a 43-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing a public nuisance. He was taken into custody.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We can confirm that officers were in attendance on St Anne Street in Liverpool today (Thursday 14 April). At around 7.20pm officers were called to a report of a man on the roof of the police custody suite.
"A containment was in place on the building as a precaution while officers engaged with the man. He came down from the building at around 10pm and was assessed by emergency services at the scene.
"A 43-year old man from Waterloo was arrested on suspicion of causing a public nuisance. He has been taken into custody for questioning.
"St Anne Street was closed during the incident and has now been reopened. Thank you for your patience as we deal with this incident. "
