A paramedic who was reportedly stabbed at McDonald’s outlet in western Sydney early on Friday has died.
Officers from the Campbelltown Police Area Command were called to the scene of the attack on Queen Street about 5.30am on Friday.
Police said the male paramedic was treated for stab wounds before being transferred to Liverpool hospital for further treatment. However, they said later on Friday morning that the man had died.
Officers established a crime scene at the restaurant.
They arrested a 21-year-old man before taking him to Campbelltown police station for questioning. He was still assisting police with their inquiries later on Friday.
NSW Police are due to hold a media briefing.
