A man has been arrested following an incident which saw residents at a flat complex in Islandbridge evacuated from the building over an alleged bomb threat.
The incident happened this afternoon, when gardai and emergency services rushed to the scene in Islandbridge after receiving calls that an individual was in possession of 'explosives'. As a precaution, all residents were evacuated from the complex.
It is understood that no injuries were reported during the incident, and residents were allowed back into their homes. A garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "Gardaí attended an incident in Islandbridge, Dublin 8, this afternoon, Thursday 1st September 2022.

"A male is currently being detained under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act, 2001. An Garda Síochána has no further comment at this time."
