A man has been arrested in connection with faeces being spotted on lifts and doors at a block of high rise flats in Aberdeen.
Residents reported seeing the waste in the close after it was allegedly spread across multiple floors at Hutcheon Court in the city this month.
As a result, council bosses launched an investigation into the incidents in a bid to identify the person responsible.
Aberdeen City Council staff had previously cleared the waste, only for a similar incident to occur.
Now, police have confirmed that a 39-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with culpable and reckless conduct.
The man will appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court tomorrow.
A report will also be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 39-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with culpable and reckless conduct.
"It follows an investigation into reports of faecal matter being smeared on locations in Hutcheon Court, Aberdeen between June and July.
"The man is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 5 July, 2022 and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
