A man in his 30's was arrested on board a train in Dublin yesterday evening following a "potential security issue".
A concerned passenger notified Irish Rail on social media that there was a "drunk guy with a gun tucked into his jeans" on board the 6:00pm Pearse to Dundalk service. Irish Rail immediately reported the issue and gardai rushed to Malahide train station where the train was stopped.
A man in his 30's was arrested by officers and taken to Swords garda station. A suspected pellet gun was seized.

Thankfully, no one was physically harmed during the ordeal and the train departed Malahide station around 27 minutes behind schedule. A garda spokesman told Dublin Live that enquiries into the matter were ongoing.
