A man has been arrested after an alleged stabbing in Glasgow city centre in the early hours of this morning.
Cops raced to Union Street after 1am when they were alerted to the incident. A man was found injured and taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
There is no information on his condition. Officers say a 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection to the serious assault of a man.
Images show four police vehicles at the scene, as on foot officers close off a section of Union Street.
Around eight Police Scotland officers are pictured standing guard.
Police Scotland say the man arrested will appear at court next week.
A spokesperson said : “A 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the serious assault of a man which happened at around 1am on Sunday, 14 August, 2022 in Union Street, Glasgow.
"The victim was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment. The 33-year-old man is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, 15 August, 2022."
