Man arrested after £270,000 haul of drugs found in Scots house

Cocaine and cannabis worth over a quarter of a million pounds has been found by police in a Scots house.

A property in Cumnock, East Ayrshire, was raided by officers on Tuesday evening acting under warrant where a huge quantity of drugs was found with an estimated worth of approximately £270,000.

A 36-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the seizure. He was due to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court yesterday.

Detective Sergeant Terry McEwan said: “Combatting drugs remains a high priority for us. This recovery is the result of officers working together with local communities and acting on the information provided to us.
